The PCHA office and research archives are located in the River Bluffs History Center at W6321 E. Main St, Bay City, WI, 54723.  The facility, staffed by volunteers, is open to anyone needing help with county history or related research. Our non-circulating library includes books on county and community history, genealogy, biography, and immigration, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Midwestern history.

Our print and photographic files cover the people, places, events, institutions, organizations, and businesses of our county. We also house county plat maps, cemetery indexes, select tract records, personal manuscripts and artifacts, and copies of assorted obituaries and newspaper announcements. PCHA publications as well as a number of other books written by Pierce County authors are available for purchase.

We welcome donations of family letters, diaries, photographs, scrapbooks, memorabilia, postcards, vintage clothing and jewelry, and school, business, government, and military records. Facsimiles or copies of such items are also welcomed. We can make copies and return the originals if you would like to share, but not donate. Donors should contact the office to arrange for item evaluation.
